We need to re-new ourselves from time to time. Lets start off with a new section of Up & Coming! A section where fresh, new talents can show off their work!
We proudly present our new talent, the up & coming:
Pelle Mattsson
Pelle is born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been drawing and painting all his life except when he forgot all about it during a short distracted period in his early twenties. When he grew up he dreamt about being a cartoonist or working as an animator for Walt Disney. Pelle later studied graphic design at Forsbergs Skola in Stockholm and during this period he rediscovered his love for illustrations. Since then he has worked as an Art Director/Graphic designer/Illustrator at the agency AGoodId as well as freelancing as an illustrator. He really likes doing graphic design work but it's the illustration part that he loves. Customers that he has worked with so far include, Shortcut and Campus magazine, Polistidningen, Acad Acoustic Consulting and design, Arkus Foundation, People magazine, the Swedish School Inspectorate, Stila publishing, Bernkert real estate agency... Pelle is also a musician and he plays several instruments and writes songs for his band. Music is a big part of his life and he listens to music almost every time when he is making his illustrations. His style, when it comes to drawing, is mostly black ink on paper. He finds it interesting how the simplicity of the black and white interacts with each other. Sometimes a few colors sneak into the pictures though.
